Tagging Your Items

How do I enter my items online?

The system we use is SUPER user friendly!
Simply use your consignor login information that your received in your email when registering to consign with us. Enter your items into the system following the prompts - you can input your items manually or verbally for added ease!

What information is important when entering my items?

ITEM CATEGORY & ITEM DESCRIPTION!

Categorizing your items might be the MOST important part of entering your items. When we are deciding the layout of our floor plan for the sale, we rely heavily on the categories within the system.

Both categorizing and detailed item description also play an important role in the unfortunate chance that one of your items gets separated from it's tag. The better detailed your item description, the easier it is for your item find it's way back to it's rightful place on the sales floor and ready for shoppers!

How do I should I price my items?

Our general rule of thumb is 1/3 of retail price. However, the condition and brand plays a big part in this! For high end brands that are in great condition, consignors can get 50-70% of retail. New, with tags items will also have a better resale value!

Where do I get the tags for my items?

You will print your tags yourself or you can email them to a printer service.

Six tags will print per page. You will cut out your tags and attach them to your items.

Please note that you can print your tags at anytime up to your scheduled drop-off time.

If you don't have a printer, you can email your tags to us at next2newkidsresale@yahoo.com and pick them up at 212 N. Main St. Beaver Dam, KY. We will print them for you for a $15 fee.

What type of paper do I use for my tags?

ONLY use white, cream, or pastel colored paper. Keep in mind that regular printer paper is acceptable for printing, however, cardstock is preferred as it is more durable and less likely to tear and fall off of your ietms.
DO NOT USE glittery or shiny paper - this makes it difficult to scan your items when shoppers are ready to take your goodies home with them and we want a seamless shopping experience for everyone!

What if I change my mind about a price on an item after I've printed the tag?

That's perfectly fine! However, you cannot mark the price out and write a new one. Our system has designed each barcode for your specific item, therefore, the barcode would not know of your handwritten new price. All you will need to do is change the price online and print a new tag.

Where do I put the tags on my item?

Again, when hanging items, the hook of the hanger should be in the shape of a question mark. The left shoulder of your items will be facing out. If you are using safety pins to attach your tags, place them on the left shoulder. If you are using a tag gun, attach to the tag in the clothing or the neck seam.

What is the backup plan if my tag falls off of an item?

The unfortunate truth is that this will inevitably happen with some items throughout the sale. Remember when we talked about the importance of categorizing and detailed description of items? Those come into play should your tag fall off of an item and we will do our best to track down your item with the correct tag. However, for a little added insurance, you can simply write your consignor number on a piece of masking tape and attach that to your item in a discreet location (i.e. inside tag of clothing, stroller wheel, etc.). This will help us look up your item and a new tag can be printed.

I really want to consign but I'm afraid that I won't have the time to input my inventory into the system, what should I do?

You are in luck! We will offer this service for you! To take advantage of this service, consignors will agree to make 50% on all items sold at the Resale. You will simply bring all items to Next2New folded and organized in a bag or tote. We will price and tag your items. Please note that any items that do not meet our standards will not be included in the Resale and will be donated.
